Go For It
Not the normal reality competition. Go For it, is a dedication of love and talent. Participants pledge their success in winning the show to a special person in their lives. Their stories are shared as the show progresses and an emotional bond is formed between the audience and their favorite singer.
Go For it is Televisa’s new format that received 5 million viewers since its premiere. Ranking in the top 10 among the shows aired for 18-34 adults. It averaged more 18-49 adult viewers than ABC’s Resurrection, Revenge and CBS’ The mentalist.
A spectacular singing competition with a twist. The celebrity captains are also in an internal competition they lead their groups and battle to be the best!

Go For it jury is composed with 3 of the biggest music stars. 2 judges are permanent and the third is an alternating weekly guest.
The jury evaluates not only the contestants but also the performance of the celebrity captain within each team.
Go For it has 3 captains that will strategically guide their team. Choosing their teams interactions within the competition. Diligently preparing their team as they themselves are being judged. The captain with the least remaining team members will be eliminated. The remaining captain will be announced as the winner.
Throughout 14 episodes, 21 pre-selected participants (7 in each team) will be evaluated by the jury. All fighting to win over the audience hearts with the hopes of become the new international music star.
Team singing competitions, 14 weeks long (13 weeks of competition and 1 for team formations), in which three celebrities will choose seven participants. Week after week, the teams will confront each other in singing rounds by genre, singing current and past songs.
Each week, the captains will choose the participants they consider to be the best, according to their specific vocal qualities, to represent their team in each round (the captains must use all of their team’s members).
Three experts will evaluate the singers’ performance.
In each round, the participant that received the lowest score will pass to “the firing line”. The judges will be the ones to determine the 3 participants that will be sentenced for that night.
At the beginning of the next show, the participant that got the highest number of votes from the audience will be saved from the elimination process. The remaining two participants must confront each other in a duel and the judges will decide which participant will definitely leave the competition.
Simultaneously, an online dynamic will be held in which the eliminated participants will confront each other week after week, looking for a chance to get back into the last phase of the show. Only one participant may get a rematch and a second chance to reincorporate themselves in to the competition.
THE FORMAT’S CONCEPT IS A DISPUTE BETWEEN TEAMS THAT WILL BE DIVIDED IN FOUR STAGES. THE LAST STAGE WILL TURN INTO AN INDIVIDUAL FIGHT (FREE-FOR-ALL) TO PROVE WHO THE BEST SINGER IS.
THE COMPETITION WILL BE DIVIDED IN 4 STAGES:
-STAGE ONE: the first phase will be the formation of teams and will be carried out during the first episode. The participants will perform in duels of four in front of the captains. The selection will be made at the end of every duel until each captain has formed its team containing seven participants. Those who weren´t selected will go home without participating in the competition.
-STAGE TWO: 2nd to 6th show. Along this second stage, the three squads will confront each other week after week in different singing rounds and it will be the captains’ task to keep their team with the highest number of participants since, by the end of the 6th show, the team and the captain with the least number of participants will be dismissed. The two captains that continue in the competition may select a singer from the eliminated squad and integrate them in to their own team (first last chance).
-STAGE THREE: 6th to 11th show. Along this third stage of the competition, the two squads that survived the second phase will face each other, It’s the captains’ task to keep their team with the highest number of participants since, by the end of the 11th show, the captain with the least number of participants will be dismissed along with his/her team.
At the end of the stage three, we will get to know the winning captain who will pass to the 4th and last phase of the competition. He or she may choose a singer from the eliminated team to integrate it into his own team (second last chance)
-STAGE FOUR: 12th to 14th show. In this last stage, the competition is no longer in teams and becomes an individual fight (free-for-all) to prove who the best is. At the beginning of this stage the winner of the online dynamic “the rematch” will be reintegrated. this way, one of the eliminated participant’s returns to this is your song.
In the final episode, the judge’s won´t evaluate the last round, it will be the audience who votes for the three finalists, and we will get to know which participant will be crowned as the winner.
SECTIONS OF THE PROGRAM
Along the show, the participants will face each other in singing duels in which 2 or more will sing a song and will be evaluated by the judges who are the ones to determine who the winner of the duel is.
The participants who were defeated in the duels will pass to the firing line where they will stay until they manage to be saved and avoid the sentence.
LINE OF FIRE
The participants who are in the firing line will be confronted in a dynamic in which they will sing the same song in turns, the judges will nominate 3 participants to be subject to the audience’s vote.
From among the three participants nominated by the judges, only the one who obtains the highest average of the audience’s vote will avoid the elimination.
DUEL TO DEATH
The 2 participants that were not saved by the audience’s vote will face each other in a duel in which one of them will abandon the competition.
Go For it MOMENT
Each week, the special guest, a great music celebrity, will choose one or various participants and will sing one of his top hits.
